Introduction

We aim to make your decision to use Click and Store the best choice possible. We are committed to operating transparently, fairly, and to exceeding your expectations.

Definitions

Below are some useful definitions:


‘You’ / ‘Your’: The self-storage customer using our facilities and services.


‘Us’ / ‘We’ / ‘Our’: Clever Click Self Storage LLC, a licensed self-storage company operating throughout Dubai.


‘General Terms’: These terms and conditions governing our self-storage facilities and services.


‘Pick Up’: The arranged collection of your personal items for storage in our facilities, subject to a pre-agreed price as per our written quotation.


‘Drop Off’: The arranged delivery of your stored items from our facilities to an agreed address.


‘Payment’: Any payment taken pursuant to a written quotation for pick-up, drop-off, self-storage services, deposit, or monthly storage fees.


‘Prohibited Items’: Any items we do not permit in our self-storage units, as outlined in these terms.


‘Access’: Entry by you or a specifically authorised third party to your self-storage unit.


‘Lock’: A padlock securing your self-storage unit.

Approved Items

By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that the storage facility will be used exclusively for the storage of approved items. You further agree to complete the contents manifest accurately and to inform us of all items placed into storage.

Prohibited Items

We strictly prohibit the storage of any illegal or dangerous items. The following items are not permitted:

•  Any food products

•  Live animals or dead animal products

•  Flammable materials (including fuel)

•  Welding materials

•  Explosive materials

•  Caustic or solvent materials

•  Compressed gases

•  Toxic or environmentally harmful products

•  Waste products

•  Dangerous goods (including weapons)

•  Illegal substances or contraband

•  Any other goods deemed hazardous, toxic, or likely to pose health or fire risks to people or property

•  Any items containing lithium batteries

By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms and grant us irrevocable authorisation to promptly remove, destroy, or confiscate any prohibited items discovered in your unit. Such action may be taken without prior notice and shall be at your sole risk and expense.

Access

You (or your authorised representative) may access your self-storage unit during our normal business hours: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Saturday, provided your account is in good standing with no outstanding arrears.

Access will be denied if any payments are overdue until all arrears are cleared in full.

If you require access outside standard hours or on public holidays, you must provide at least 24 hours’ advance notice. All arrears must be settled before any access is granted.

To authorise a third party to access your unit, you must notify us in advance in writing (via email or from the phone number/email address we hold on record). We may request a copy of your ID and photographic identification of the authorised person. This authorisation process must be repeated each time.

You remain fully responsible for any third party you authorise and assume all risk of damage, loss, or theft caused by them. We accept no liability in such cases.

If you lose your key, we may (with your permission) cut the padlock to grant access for a fee of AED 50.

Our Liability

Unless specifically agreed under our Click and Store Care policy, our total liability for any loss, theft, fire, or damage to your goods shall not exceed AED 3,000 per self-storage unit.

We will only be liable where it is proven that the loss or damage resulted directly from our negligence and you notified us in writing as soon as reasonably practicable after discovery.

We are liable only for items that were:

•  Clearly listed on the contents manifest, and

•  Packed and collected, or packed and delivered, by us.

We accept no liability for:

•  Any item not correctly listed on the manifest

•  Damage or loss to items you packed yourself

•  Electrical or mechanical faults in any appliances or instruments stored

•  General damage to fragile items (unless specifically covered under our Care policy)

•  Any loss or damage during transportation where you packed the items or failed to declare them properly

You assume all risk that your items are suitable for transport and storage.

Refunds and Cancellations

No refunds will be given for any unoccupied days during the storage period, prepaid term, or notice period.

Cancellations or postponements of pick-up or drop-off services will not be refunded if less than 48 hours’ written notice is provided.

We will not refund any pick-up or drop-off charges where cancellation or postponement is due to:

•  Lack of access to your building or community, or

•  Your failure to obtain necessary access permits.

Refunds will only be issued to the original payment method (card or bank account). If the original method is no longer valid or has expired, you must promptly provide details of an alternative payment method.

Payments

We are fully transparent with our charges. You will receive a monthly invoice and statement by email clearly showing all storage fees.

Upon commencement of services, we will usually set up a Direct Debit / Continuous Payment Authority (CPA) on the card you provide. By using our services, you expressly authorise us to charge your debit or credit card each month for all storage fees until you provide proper notice and close your account.

We require an initial refundable deposit equivalent to four weeks of storage charges, taken from the card you provide.

Storage is charged on a weekly basis. Partial weeks are calculated and charged on a pro-rata basis. Your storage agreement will automatically renew each month until you give proper notice and remove your items (or arrange and pay for drop-off).

You must ensure sufficient funds are available on your card at all times. We accept no responsibility for any bank or card charges incurred due to failed or unauthorised payments.

Notice Period

Your storage agreement automatically renews monthly. To terminate, you must provide at least four (4) weeks’ written notice.

You may pay the notice period in advance, but no refund will be given if you remove your items before the notice period ends. If you fail to remove all items by the end of the notice period, the notice will be deemed invalid, and a fresh four-week notice period will be required.

Arrears and Non-Payment

You must ensure the card we hold on file has sufficient funds to cover your monthly storage fees.

If payment is not received, we may charge a default fee of AED 25 per square foot of storage space for every week you remain in arrears. We will attempt to contact you by phone, email, and WhatsApp using the details you provided.

If we are unable to contact you and arrears remain outstanding after 30 days, ownership of the stored items will automatically transfer to us. We may then dispose of or sell the items to recover the outstanding amounts.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off Services

Pick-up and drop-off services are subject to the charges stated in our written quotation provided in advance. You must ensure we have proper access to your address (including any required security passes or permits from your building or community).

If your items do not fit into the agreed storage unit during pick-up, we will either leave some items behind or provide a revised quotation for additional space. Any additional storage space requires payment of a four-week deposit in advance.

If additional packing is required or items are not ready upon our arrival, the quotation will be amended and any extra charges must be paid before storage.

If our team is required to wait due to lack of access or items not being ready, we may charge a waiting fee of AED 50 for every 10 minutes. If the delay affects other scheduled jobs, our team may leave and you will need to book (and pay for) a new pick-up slot with no refund.

Self-Storage Fee Reviews

Our charges per square foot may occasionally increase in line with inflation. We will always endeavour to avoid increases where possible. If an increase is necessary, we will provide you with at least one month’s written notice before applying the new rate.

Assignment or Sub-Contracting

We reserve the right to assign our rights under this agreement or to sub-contract any part of the services. All terms and conditions will remain fully applicable and enforceable in such cases.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising from our services or these terms, both parties agree to resolve the matter through informal arbitration rather than through the courts. Both parties agree to be bound by the decision of a suitably qualified industry or legal specialist selected by us.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed exclusively by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. No other implied terms shall apply.
